Community guidelines
GRIM is a competitive game for players aged 13 and over. These are the rules that keep it worth playing, and what happens when someone breaks them.

Why this exists
A multiplayer arena shooter lives or dies on whether a match feels fair and whether the other people in it are bearable. These guidelines are part of the GRIM terms of service, so breaking them can cost you your account.
GRIM has players in their early teens. That raises the bar for what is acceptable here above what you might get away with elsewhere, and we apply it that way deliberately.
What we expect
- Play to win, honestly. Outplay people. Do not shortcut past them.
- Treat opponents as people. Trash talk is part of competitive games; cruelty is not. The line is whether you are playing with someone or trying to hurt them.
- Do not ruin the match for your own side. Deliberately throwing, going idle, or leaving repeatedly wastes four other people's time.
- Report bugs instead of farming them. Tell us and we will fix it — and we would rather credit you than ban you.
Cheating and unfair play
These will get an account actioned, usually severely:
- aim assistance, auto-fire, wall hacks, speed or physics modification, or any third-party tool that alters how the game runs;
- memory editors, packet manipulation, modified clients, or emulator exploits;
- bots, scripts, or automation — including idle farming of rewards, chests or ad offers;
- exploiting a bug for currency, progression or match advantage instead of reporting it;
- boosting, win-trading, smurfing to farm weaker players, or arranging match outcomes;
- account sharing, selling, buying or renting;
- attacking another player's connection, or attacking our servers.
Harassment and hate
None of the following is tolerated, in any channel, in any language:
- Hate speech — attacking or demeaning anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Harassment — targeted abuse, pile-ons, stalking someone between matches, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Threats of violence, and any threat directed at someone's family.
- Sexual content or advances, and absolutely anything sexual involving a minor. This is reported to the authorities, not just actioned.
- Doxxing — sharing anyone's real name, address, school, workplace, phone number or photographs.
- Encouraging self-harm, or telling anyone to kill themselves.
- Impersonating another player, a moderator, or Pixamentory staff.
- Scams and advertising — free-currency offers, phishing links, account sales, or promoting other services.
Social communication
Friends, invitations, text chat, and voice chat are currently paused. These rules still define the safety standard that will apply if any communication feature is enabled later. Enabling those features also requires a confirmed 13+ age and acceptance of the current communications terms.
- Do not use text or voice for harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, doxxing, scams, or repeated unwanted contact.
- If communication is enabled, the game must provide block, mute, and report controls so a player can stop contact immediately and report a pattern for review.
- Misusing communication may result in a feature restriction, suspension, or permanent account action depending on severity and history.
Display names
Your name is visible to everyone you play against. Names must not contain slurs, sexual content, threats, real-world personal information, impersonation of staff, or advertising.
A name that breaks these rules gets reset, and we may restrict your ability to choose a new one. Deliberate evasion — misspellings, symbol substitution, leetspeak — counts as the original offence.
Teen players
If you are a teen player: never share your real name, address, school, phone number or photos with anyone in the game, and never move a conversation to another app because someone asked you to. If an adult tries to get personal information out of you, report it and tell someone you trust.
If you are a parent or guardian: GRIM is intended for players aged 13 and over. An unknown age blocks sign-in and an under-13 answer blocks access. Analytics and attribution are off by default, and rewarded ads and social communication are paused. What the game collects is set out in the privacy policy. To raise a concern or ask us to delete a child's account, email support@pixamentory.io.
How to report someone
- In game — use the report option on the player, which sends us the match and the account automatically. This is the fastest and most reliable route.
- By email — write to hello@pixamentory.io with the player's display name, roughly when the match happened, and what they did. Screenshots or a clip help enormously, especially for voice.
Reports are confidential; we do not tell the reported player who reported them. Filing deliberately false reports to get someone actioned is itself a breach of these guidelines.
What happens next
We match the response to what actually happened, and to whether it is a pattern. Depending on severity we may:
| Action | Typically for |
|---|---|
| Warning | A first, low-severity incident |
| Name reset | An inappropriate display name |
| Voice restriction | Misuse of voice chat |
| Removal of currency or items | Exploits, bug abuse, reversed payments |
| Leaderboard removal | Results obtained unfairly |
| Temporary suspension | Repeat offences, or a serious first offence |
| Permanent ban | Cheat tools, payment fraud, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or anything sexual involving a minor |
A permanent ban ends your licence to play and your rights in any virtual currency or items on the account, without refund. See the terms of service.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email hello@pixamentory.io with your player name and what you believe happened. A person reviews every appeal — enforcement is not fully automated — and if we made a mistake we reverse it and restore what was removed.
