GRIM terms of service
The agreement between you and us when you play GRIM. Plain language where we can manage it, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and PIXAMENTORY ONLINE SERVICES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, trading as Pixamentory ("we", "us"). They apply when you download, install or play GRIM. By playing, you accept them.
Two other documents form part of this agreement and are worth reading: the GRIM privacy policy, which explains what data the game collects, and the community guidelines, which set out what behaviour will get an account actioned.
Your app store has its own terms too, and they apply alongside these. Where an app store rule conflicts with ours for a purchase made through that store, theirs wins.
Who can play
GRIM asks you to choose your age before account sign-in when you first open it, and that answer decides how the game treats you — see the privacy policy.
- You must be at least 13 years old to play GRIM. An unknown age blocks sign-in until answered, and an under-13 answer blocks access to the game.
- If you are under the age of majority where you live, you also need your parent or guardian's permission to play. By playing, you confirm you have it.
- Product analytics and attribution are off by default and require an explicit opt-in by a confirmed 13+ player. Rewarded ads and social communication are currently paused.
Your account
- Your account and its progress belong to you to use, but they remain our service. You may not sell, rent, share, or transfer an account, and you may not buy one.
- Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Choose a display name that follows the community guidelines. We can change or reset a name that does not.
- You can delete your account from inside the game at any time. Deletion is permanent: progress, items and any unspent virtual currency are lost and cannot be restored, and you will not be refunded for them. You may also start a deletion request from our public deletion page.
Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play GRIM for your own non-commercial entertainment. That licence lasts as long as you follow these terms.
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, decompile, modify or create derivative works from the game, except where the law expressly allows it;
- use cheats, mods, bots, automation, memory editors, packet manipulation, emulator exploits, or any other tool that gives an unfair advantage;
- exploit bugs rather than reporting them — if you find one, tell us at hello@pixamentory.io;
- attack, overload or attempt unauthorised access to our servers or another player's connection;
- use the game commercially — including account boosting or selling in-game advantages — without our written permission.
Creators are welcome. Streaming and making videos of GRIM, including monetised ones, is expressly permitted and needs no separate permission.
Coins, gems and items
GRIM contains virtual currency (coins, gems and power points) and virtual items such as cards, heroes and chests. You should understand exactly what these are:
- They are a licence to use a feature of the game, not property you own and not a deposit.
- They have no monetary value. They cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, exchanged for real money, or transferred to anyone — inside the game or outside it. GRIM has no cash-out feature and we will never add one retroactively to balances earned under these terms.
- They are not a bank balance, e-money, a security, or a crypto-asset, and no interest accrues on them.
- Balances are held on our servers and are authoritative there. If a display on your device disagrees with the server, the server is correct. We may correct balances that resulted from a bug, an exploit, a failed payment, or a chargeback.
- We may change the price, availability, or in-game effect of any item, and may retire items, as part of balancing the game.
- Your rights in virtual items end when your account ends — whether you delete it or we close it under these terms.
Some chests and rewards contain randomised contents. Where the game offers these, the odds are disclosed in the game before you commit to opening one.
Purchases and refunds
The Phase 1 Early Access build does not offer in-app purchases. If we add purchases in a later build, we will update these terms before that build is released.
Any future in-app purchases will be processed by Google Play. We will not see or store your card details. Google Play's refund policy and your statutory consumer rights will apply, and failed deliveries can be reported to hello@pixamentory.io with the order number.
Rewarded ads
Rewarded ads are paused in the current release configuration. If they are enabled in a later release, they will be optional: you choose whether to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward, and you will not be required to watch an ad to keep playing.
We will update these terms and complete the required consent and Google Play review before enabling ads. What data ads may involve is covered in the privacy policy.
Fair play and conduct
GRIM is a competitive multiplayer game, and it only works if people play it honestly and treat each other decently. The full rules are in the community guidelines. In short, do not cheat, do not harass anyone, do not use hate speech, and do not deliberately throw matches or go idle. If social communication is enabled later, do not misuse it.
Suspension and termination
If you break these terms or the community guidelines, we may — proportionately to what happened — issue a warning, remove ill-gotten currency or items, restrict features such as voice chat, remove a leaderboard entry, suspend the account temporarily, or close it permanently. Serious cases, such as cheating tools or payment fraud, can go straight to a permanent ban.
We will tell you when we action an account, and you can appeal by writing to hello@pixamentory.io. A human reviews appeals. If we got it wrong, we will reverse it.
You may stop playing and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law — continue to apply after the agreement ends.
Changes to the game
GRIM is a live service. We will add, change, rebalance and remove content, and we may change or discontinue features. If we ever have to shut the game down entirely, we will give reasonable advance notice in the game and stop selling virtual currency before we do.
We may also update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the game before it takes effect, and continuing to play afterwards means you accept it.
Ownership
GRIM, its code, art, audio, characters, names and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a licence to play, not any ownership.
Anything you contribute that is visible to other players — your display name, for example — you licence to us so we can display and moderate it in the game. You keep ownership of it, and you confirm you have the right to use it.
Disclaimers
GRIM is provided "as is" and "as available". Online multiplayer depends on networks and third-party infrastructure we do not control, so we cannot promise the game will always be available, uninterrupted, lag-free, or free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost progress, lost virtual currency or items, loss of profit, or loss of data. Our total liability to you in connection with GRIM is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or INR 10,000.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the benefit of the mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts your local law provides.
Please contact us first — almost everything is resolved faster by email than by anything else.
